9 Emperor God Festival ( Part 2 )

Ok now, after the parade on the 8th day, the next event will be held on the 9th day at night, which is the final day for this year festival's event. Anyway, it is a random post of pics before I go to the part where the devotees will walk across burning charcoal as part of the ritual ceremony.

9 Emperor God Festival Parade. (Part 1 )

These are the photos taken during the 9 Emperor God Festival Parade in my wifey hometown, Taiping. The parade was held on the 8th day of the festival, which falls on the 18th October. I found this year 9 Emperor God Festival is much more happening compared to last year. Anyway, please pardon me for my poor handling in snapping the photos.........

Yes, finally the day has come!!! The day that I've been waiting for. Is my turn now to go for my holiday!!!

Home Alone.

It was so empty. No sound of my wifey screaming at me and my daughters. No sound of my daughters screaming, crying and fighting with the maid.

The house was so quiet until I can hear the housefly passby.

When there is no time for you to rest, all you hope for is 1 or 2 hour of solid sleep.

But now, I can have all the time I want.

But I'm not happy!!!~~~

I miss my wifey and my daughters. How lah!!!

Back to home town.

Yesterday my wifey and my 2 daughters went back to her hometown for their holiday. ( remember my earlier post about the 9 Emperor Gods Festivals ) Well for me, I'll still be around, stuck here for another 3 more days. .........* sigh*.........

Only manage to get my leave approved on Tuesday until Sunday, where most of my other colleagues will be back from their Raya holiday. After that will be my turn... Yeahooooo!!! Can't wait for the time to come. Well, what else I can say.........

"Wait for me honey, I'm on my way coming back soon."

Wait a minute, that means I'll be a bachelor for this few days time!!!

In Support of Fight Against Child Abuse.

In our times of darkness, children are the ones who will brighten us up. No matter what ordeals we have to endure in our daily lives, we know that we can overcome them the moment we set eyes on children. Their innocence and purity in them will always give us a sense of peacefulness and calm that is beyond words. And it goes without saying that life would be meaningless without seeing them smile, hearing them laugh and cry, and feeling their small and flawlessly gentle hands that want to reach out to us.

Yet, there are some who show no empathy and sensitivity towards these beautiful souls. Worse still, they would dunk themselves into physical violence and cruelty towards the children without even thinking twice. Such acts can deem someone to be worse than an animal, because even an animal has compassion and love for its young.

What do you really hope to achieve in life?

There was once a businessman who was sitting by the beach in a small village. As he sat, he saw a fisherman rowing a small boat towards the shore and noticed that the fisherman has caught a quite number of big fishes that is known to be a delicacy.

The business was really impressed and ask the fisherman, "How long does it take you to catch so many fishes?"

The fisherman reply; "Oh, just a short while."

"Then why don't you stay longer at sea and you could catch even more? The businessman was astonished.

The fisherman simply does not agree, "This is enough to feed my whole family?" he says.

The businessman then asked: "So, what do you do for the rest of the day then?"

The fisherman reply; "Well, I usually wake up early in the morning, go out to sea and catch a few fishes, then I would go back and play with my kids. In the afternoon, I will take a nap with my wife, and evening comes, I will join my buddies in the village for a drink, we played guitar, sing and dance throughout the night. My day was ever so complete and carefree."

The businessman does not agree with his way of life and offered a suggestion to the fisherman.

"I am a PhD holder graduated from Harvard University, specialises in business management. I could help you to become a more successful person. From now on, you have to spend more time at sea and try to catch as many fishes as possible. And when you have save enough money, you could buy a bigger boat and catch even more fishes. As you go on, you will be able to afford to buy more boats, recruit more fishermen and lead a team of your own. Soon you will be able to set-up your own company, your very own production plant for canned food and do direct selling to your distributors.At that time, you will have moved out of this village to city, and then expand your operation to a bigger city, where you can set-up your HQ to manage all your other branches."

The fisherman asks, "So, how long would that take? "

The businessman reply: "About 15 to 20 years"

The fisherman continued, "And after that?"

The businessman laugh heartily, "After that, you can live like a king in your own house, and when the time is right, you can go public and float your shares in the Stock Exchange, by then you will be rich, your income will be coming in by the millions!!"

The fisherman ask, "And after that?"

The businessman says "After that, you can finally retire, you can move to a house by the fishing village, wake up early in the morning and catch a few fishes, then return home to play with the kids, have a nice afternoon nap with your wife, and when evening comes, you can join your buddies for a drink, play the guitar, sing and dance throughout the night!! "

The fisherman was puzzled, "Isn't that what I am doing now??"

So, what does one really hope to achieve in life, do we really need to work so hard in life ? What do you hope to accomplish in the end??? There are sometimes things are much more simpler than what we thought of right???

Well, my dear readers......... what are we actually aiming for in our life??? Do we really have the answer for our own questions???
